My husband and I got a divorce about 2 months ago. Ever since then he won’t help me with the kids. I work to make ends meet but it’s not cutting it. I have to pay bills and take care of us. I’m barely making it, sometimes my kids have to go without. Well I was continuously asking him for help but he won’t since him and I aren’t together. We have a 16 month old and a one month old together. He hasn’t bought anything since the 2 months he’s been gone. He brings in a little over $1000 a week from work. I filed for child support, he promised to do better so I wouldn’t go to court on him. I said well show me you’re going to step up and I’ll dismiss it, he literally bought one pack of diapers and that was it. The court date is on March 3rd and I’m definitely going. I text his mom and asked could she help or maybe try to get him to help, she said “he said don’t text and ask him for anything else” I said “well can you help me get the baby some diapers” she says “I only have $6 to my name” I was pissed. She buy her other 8 grandchildren the world but she don’t do anything for mine! My husband moved in with her although he can afford his own place to stay he’d rather live off other people. He gives her $1500 a month to live with her but can’t help support our children. Hes rebuilding her house, pays her car insurance, plus the $1500 a month and she don’t have enough sense to tell him take care of his babies! My 16 month old has to literally eat instant mashed potatoes every day all day, and instant grits for breakfast everyday because its all I can afford. He’s still wearing 12 month clothes that’s very snug! He calls me a “broke bitch” to everyone we knows. I’m honestly getting fed up and the child support date isn’t getting here fast enough! All this behind a divorce? Wtf man. My kids don’t deserve this at all!
