Is it rude to leave a mail/hair appointment if they make you wait more that 20 minutes?

Just out of curiosity! I usually like having productive days & don’t want to stay waiting when I had an appointment. I usually leave and people find it rude. I find it rude to not ask me to come at a later time. I think people should be more courteous of your time?

I meant to select no it’s not rude . Places try to overbook and not only is it annoying but it’s inconsiderate. There’s a reason as to why appointments are made 🤷🏽‍♀️

As a hairstylist, I always call ahead of time if I’m running late. People generally know if they’re running late, so yes it’s rude. Plus one of my biggest pet peeves is when people are running late for me, so I would hate to do that to a client. I also dont ever double book myself because my clients are paying me for my full attention. Running 5 minutes late is one thing, but 20 is quite a bit of time depending on what you’re scheduled for. I would just be honest with your stylist and tell them you don’t feel like they respect your time..

Being in this industry it’s not rude of the client I feel. If we are running late we usually will let you know to be considerate of your time and we get pissed when you’re late and aren’t considerate of our time when clients make us late/ run behind. If you know your stylist is always late then that’s anticipated but if not, then you shouldn’t feel it’s rude

No I don’t think it’s rude. What would be rude is if they let you know they’re falling behind and you agree to wait but still leave. I’d personally let you know I have abcd to do and didn’t plan to not have my appointment start until 20+ minutes after the scheduled time so I need to head out.

If it’s a one time thing, yea I find it rude. Sometimes things run over. If it’s every time you go, no, I wouldn’t wait either. However, I’d make them aware of that when I book.
