Am I wrong for confronting my neighbor for banging on the wall when my babies cry?
So I live in an apartment complex and there is a lot of noise, coming from all over the apartment complex. We have been here for 2 years. We never complain about any noise because this is how apartment living is. Even our neighbor moans extra fucking loud every other night like she is giving birth but we never say anything.
I have a 5 month old and a 1 year old. They cry in the middle of the night, every human being knows this. Parents want their kids to stop crying more than anyone else. My neighbor has a tendency to bang if they hear my kids cry. This has been a problem and happened a handful of times but my husband and I have let it go.
Well..this morning my son woke up crying and not even 1 minute of crying the neighbors banged on the wall. We let it go. Then my son woke up again crying and they banged again. Idk my first impulse was to bang back even harder and the mama bear in me told me to confront them. So, I walked out looking like shit and knocked on their door asking what their problem was? I told them I hear banging from this unit because of my son having issues, and that I cannot control the crying. I cannot put a pillow on his face and call it a night. I so badly wanted to say something about the fucking moaning she has and call her a hypocrite. BUT the one that answered the door was her roommate who is not doing the banging. So I don't think she knew what was going on. Which pissed me off and I look like a dumbass right? I just apologized and said look if my kids are crying I apologize and there we are trying our best. But someone is doing it and I don't know if they are just pretending and didn't think I would confront them. Am I the asshole for doing this? I wanted to make it known that we're not gonna tolerate that shit anymore.
