When will you be introducing cereal?

Not looking for a debate ☺️ just curious when to start cereal, usually I start around 4 months old 👶❤️

My pediatrician recommended 4 months.   Every mom is different just like every baby is different.  My kid is measuring in the 95 percentile (head, weight and height) so she’s clearly not missing any calories, yet she can clear 6 oz like nobody’s business at 11 weeks.  I go by my doctor and my baby.   I’m not really into books, associations, surveys, YouTube or other opinions 🤷🏽‍♀️

I don’t do cereal— it has no nutritional value. I do start offering solids at 6 months.

My pediatrician says 4 months by spoon no bottle, but AAP says 6 months by spoon no bottle. So it’s confusing. With my first baby I did try it once at 4 months by spoon and didn’t do it again because she didn’t really eat it. My MIL gave it to her by bottle a couple of times & it actually constipated her pretty bad. I think she went almost 12 days without pooping & the pediatrician had to do a suppository thing to help her go. After that we stopped any cereal and then just introduced purées at 6 months and BLW at 7-8 months. She kinda skipped over purées.

I go slow . Around 5-6 months I give some cereal made with breast milk . See how baby likes it. Then move on from there week by week.  I also love when you can start giving them food to hold to entertain them lol

AAP recommends solids at 6mo. So that's what we do.

I plan to do baby food, not cereal in the bottle.
Doctor doesn’t recommend and I’m not comfortable with putting things in the bottle since my son already has reflux!
