I disagree mostly cause some people don’t even HAVE social media lol. Also just cause he does or doesn’t show me off  doesn’t mean he suddenly doesnt have the ability to cheat. It’s foolish to think posting photos on social media is what determines a healthy relationship

To me this is a dumb take. My husband posts like once every year or so on social media. He has a facebook but uses it more to see what his friends are up to. I have no social media so my name isn't even on his facebook as being his wife because he can't link a profile so it just says he is married. Not all guys need to show off they managed to find a partner. I hate social media and my husband uses it sparingly. I have never been concerned "ah he isn't posting pics of us..he must be stepping out". I dated an adult and know being facebook official or being all over ig doesn't mean a damn thing. This take sounds like something a teenager would post.

I wonder if he's forgotten that social media hasn't always been a thing, and folks weren't blasting their relationships in the newspaper like people do on Facebook 😅

I only agree with the basic concept. I always have anxiety over whether someone I like really likes me back. It would be comforting to me if my partner were to let us be Facebook official. Occasional photos maybe. Nothing much beyond that

I disagree but it would just depend on the individual guy. I know for a fact my partner isn’t huge into social media at all as it is, but he has no issue claiming or acknowledging our relationship we have our status on there set & photos on both of our pages. Neither of us are into social media anymore but if we both were & he never mentioned he was in a relationship or not being available that would be a bit suspect. Some people are simply more private than others.

Completely disagree. This is actually stupid and shows how much people let social media run or dictate their relationship which to an extent is also pathetic if you’re basing your relationship success off social media posts. 
Me and my husband both have social media. We have zero pictures of each other on there. It also took 4 years for us to even update our relationship status. I know for a fact neither of us are cheating or entertaining the idea of it. We just agree we don’t need our lives plastered all over the internet just so people know. I don’t feel a need to “show him off” just so people know he’s taken. He puts them in their place if they try. Social media doesn’t have a huge role in my life or my relationship and I refuse to let it. 
The people who are actually involved in our lives are aware of everything and that’s all we need and care about. We couldn’t care less about anyone else.
