My Covid Vaccine Experience!

On Thursday I got my first shot for Covid. I was given the Pfizer vaccine. I was nervous all week to get it because of the possible side effects. I was originally one of those people not planning on getting it, at least not immediately until there was more info about the vaccine. But my dad practically begged me to get it since I had the opportunity to bc of my job, so I signed up. My dad and half-sister had already gotten the shot and had mild side effects like headache, fatigue, and arm soreness. They were given the moderna vaccine.

So I arrive at the vaccine site to check in. I almost wasn’t able to get it bc the letter HR sent out for everyone was generic and didn’t have my name on it. The letter was the only thing I had that would prove I qualify. Anyways the guy still let me get it because I showed him the letter was sent to me in my email.

There was no wait time to get it which I was surprised! I sit down at a nurse station and she asked me a series of question. Gave me info about the shot. And then I received it. I was scared the actual getting the shot part would hurt since I haven’t received a shot in over 10 years. Also in videos, the needle looks very long. I had nothing to worry about bc I didn’t feel a thing! I had to wait an additional 15 minutes to make sure I had no allergic reaction to it. I didn’t so I was able to leave.

I received the shot in the morning and I felt fine all day besides some arm soreness by evening. It’s been two days now and my arm soreness is mostly gone now. And besides the soreness suffered no other side effects. I will be getting the second shot in three weeks. I heard that you get worse side effects with that shot. I’m hoping I will luck out with no side effects again!
