Do you have the IUD?

If you do have the IUD, can you share your experience? Did it hurt getting it (my OB says she prefers to do it when the lady receiving it is on her period because it makes it easier and less painful for the lady) 
How has your period changed if at all?

I had 2 IUDs Merina. Had the first for 5 years and had it removed and replaced for 1.5 years. Periods were amazing. I have Endometriosis and PCOS it helped a ton as I believe that it saved me from having too much scar tissue and was able to have kids later. Normal birth control and me were not a good combination IUD was the only form I tolerated and would totally get an IUD again. Best decision.

mine hurt terribly! (I wasn’t on my period for the insertion) i had 2 attempts of getting it inserted. the first time my cervix would not open, so my dr prescribed me a pill like tablet that you insert into your vagina. it softens the cervix and let’s the instruments used to under the IUD go alot smoother. the second try at insertion i cried the entire time during and then sum at home… you get cramping for about 2-3 days afterwards but they aren’t terrible. i’ve never really had terrible or heavy periods to begin with, but I do feel like my period has kind of gotten lighter.. the first day I always bleed a lot but after that it’s not even enough to fill a tampon or pad. overall I recommend it, it

I must be the only person who thinks it didn’t hurt getting it at all! Mainly like pressure making me feel like I need to pee but other than that it was fine
