So I’m 19 almost 20 and I am NOT sexually

I got my first birth control shot over 4 months ago and decided to switch to the pills after my first shot due to my new job and the way my doctors office works.

Anyway since November I have been having constant dark brown discharge with dark brown clumps. I have yet to make an appointment with my doctor in person. We have talked through emails and she says that it’s common to have discharge. Which I already knew but I expected spotting occasionally not having discharge 24/7 non stop. I haven’t even had a period I’ve had a few light pink spots but that is few and far between. I only have taken the shot once.

Is this really normal for the shot
