During this pandemic, how are you handling seeing family? My fiancé and i agreed to only see immediate family but still unsure if we should wait jntil the warmer months in a few weeks to see thm safely outdoors with masks

We see immediate family of parents and my brother in law with no masks. I can’t imagine wearing masks around them I’d find it really strange. They look after our daughter between them once a week as we have to still work at home our normal hours.

We only see my sister in law and her family because we are in the same house. But the rest of our family lives out of town so we haven’t seen them at all. It’s so tough!!

Last saw my husband's family on Dec 19, last saw mine in Aug 20. Hoping some time by summer we'll be able to see each other again!

We were very serious about masks when my son was born at the end of February last year. He was two weeks old when the stay at home order went into place and I didn’t see my parents for about a month or a month and a half after that. Since then though both my parents have started working at home, my sister started working at home, my grandma barely leaves the house (except to walk the dog) so we feel comfortable seeing them without masks. We go to dinner with them all every Friday and have since the beginning of May last year. My husbands family lives in another state though and I haven’t traveled to see them yet. They came last summer to meet our son and my sister in laws new baby but we made them wear a mask pretty much the whole time and take showers before they even saw us after getting off the plane

I also had Covid a month ago, so I’m still immune at the moment

We will see my parents (because we see them regularly because they watch my daughter) and my one brother and sister in law because my sister in law is still home with her 4 month old and my two brothers own a business and work in an office with just the two of them so they arent exposed to anyone else (and they keep distance from each other in the office). My other sister in law works in a medical office so we do not see her or the brother that she's married to.

We see them with masks, outside for up to an hour or more if the weather permits. After the babies born we won't be seeing family for at least 6 months. (I did four months with my first. He was a preemie with absolutely no immune system) video calls are constant tho!
