Implantation Bleeding?

So I have longer cycles. My period isn’t due to start for another week...today I am spotting. Last month this happened too and it ended up being a full fledged period. I’m tracking ovulation and my peak was February 7th. Is there any hope this could be implantation bleeding? If not, does anyone have any experience with a short luteal cycle?

There are many reasons to find blood mid-cycle (irritated cervix from sex, stress, medication, ruptured nabothian cyst on cervix, old ovulation blood, period coming 'early', to name a few), so its very hard to pinpoint exactly why. Too many people automatically  jump to the conclusion or expectation that it was implantation bleeding, and more often than not, that is simply not the case. This app makes IB seem SO much more frequent than it actually is. Random mid cycle spotting is very common and often unexplained! 🤷‍♀️ Good luck!!!
