Johannes hit a record today where he wore his mask for 1 hour while we were in the store ! He did not take it off once ❤️ I was sooo proud !

For any moms wondering, his pediatrician said since he’s almost 2, to start getting him accustomed to wearing one. I tried using plain blue kids blue ones to no avail. Then I was shopping and came across these Dino ones. Anyone that knows Johannes knows he LOVES dinos ❤️ Happy to say they were a success !

So for any moms trying to get your LO into mask wearing. I started by putting a mask on his favorite stuffed animal, where he would bring it to the store and I would commend the stuffed animal, saying ‘good job Dino for keeping on your mask’. If Johannes would take the mask off I would say ‘oh no Dino, we need our mask on!’ And I would help Johannes put it back on the stuffed animal.

This was before I introduced Johannes to actually wearing one, just to get him used to the idea. I got this idea because this was how I got my student that I work with to keep one on during the school day. Once I found Johannes showed no interest in the plain masks, I decided to get something with a print that interests him! And found that to be a success! Hope this helps my fellow toddler mamas 🥰❤️
