Is it painful when baby flips head down?

So baby was breach a couple weeks ago, one night I had some pain on my left side like a cramp. Lasted for about 20 minutes. Now I feel like baby is head down bc I’m feeling lots of movement up high now under my ribs. Does anyone have experience with this? Was that my
Baby flipping head down when I had pain?

My boy is Bree he most of the time but over the passed few days he has been head down.. I believe he is breech again because I am feeling all his movements close to me cervix hha

With my son I don’t think I even felt him flip. Now I’m pregnant with triplets & they’ve all been head down since they were like 20 weeks I felt them flip but it didn’t hurt. I still have 7 weeks left and now, after reading these comments, I’m terrified of the pain I may feel if any of them flip again 😅

When my second son flipped it hurt. I didn’t know at the time he had flipped but that he was moving and he did a big movement and I said I hope that was him flipping. Sure enough at my 35/36 week appointment he was head down

My experience was different than yours but it could also have to do with how far along at the time and babies position after. 
My second was frank breech and flipped on her own at just under 38 weeks. I know the exact moment when it happened because I was in so much pain I hit in the floor. Pain everywhere, my abdomen and back. It lasted about 5 mins after which I was tender for a very short period of time and then I was fine.
