What age is baby able to sit and play on their own...

FTM... is it when they are able to sit unassisted or not until walking? Like sit and play with blocks and what not

It depends on the baby. My 9 month old has been doing that for a few months (depending on her mood!)

Theoretically my 9 months old could do this, but he’s not interested in sitting in one place, nor in playing on his own. I think it depends on the baby though

My daughter could sit by about 5.5 months. But she didn’t do a lot of independent play until like 2 years later 🤦‍♀️. 
For real though, 6-7 months when they can sit independently and “theoretically” do things like play with blocks and stuff independently.
