When to announce

So I’m currently 7 weeks and 5 days and haven’t told anyone in my family I’m pregnant I’m curious to know when you all thought it was the best time to announce your pregnancy ? 🤰🏻

I always wait until late second trimester but I like keeping the news to myself!  If you want to share, do it whenever you feel comfortable

We waited until we had our first scan and saw the heartbeat we tend to announce early though because we have had losses before and if it happens again we want support and our baby to have been celebrated by our loved ones

My husband and I had a miscarriage in August of 2020, right after telling our parents and siblings. We hadn't seen baby yet.
We've seen baby a few times now and it looks good so far, but we still haven't told anyone. We agreed that at our next appointment in three weeks, if everything still looked good, then we would start telling people. The first trimester is just a tricky and unpredictable time period, and we don't want to get our families hopes up, or our own, by announcing it too soon and then having things go wrong again.
But, when you announce, or who you tell early on, is your decision. Do what makes you happy. (:

I've  always waited until I was about 12-13 weeks so basically done with the first trimester. That's just me. Everyone  announces when  they feel ready.

My parents and parents in law knew pretty quickly. However, we haven’t told anyone else outside of family and won’t until we’re past first trimester.

We told our parents after our first appointment at 8 weeks. My mom and I do a lot together and I’ve been so sick and didn’t want her figuring out that way or worrying why I was sick.  We just told all our siblings on Valentine’s Day and I was 9.5 weeks.   I don’t plan to announce on social media until at least after our 12 week appointment however I may even wait until our gender ultrasound at 20 weeks.

We waited til we saw the heart beat and had a confirm. I was 8W when we told my FIL + MIL my parents knew right away just because I ended up having a MMC last time and they were the support I needed. 
Now, for other family and friends we won’t say anything til I hit my second trimester. We are going to Colorado this weekend, so my guy best friend will eventually find out since we are all staying in a cabin. Both my female bestfriends already know because they also helped me when I had the MMC.

We told parents on Christmas Day (we found out the Monday before). We were 5 weeks. We told family around 7 weeks after 1st scan and just announced on social media after second scan at 10 weeks. Tomorrow we will be 12. 
Just do what you are comfortable with. I had 2 previous MC. I knew what I was getting myself into, but I wanted to celebrate this baby no matter if it was with us for 40 weeks or 6 weeks.
