So I went in to the hospital for contractions or what I thought was I was just in pain I knew that and I was right when they hooked me to the monitor I was contracting they did the FFN test which came out positive for increased risk for preterm labor I already know I'm high risk for it as my son was preterm and my bubs placenta can cause preterm labor and just alot of other things as well I do have a short cervix but it's staying closed which is good

They have been giving me magnesium sulfate to stop contractions which has helped but he's trying so hard to come into the world I'm 29 weeks and 6 days but he has been measuring ahead like 31-32 weeks at every appointment even the nurses here at the hospital say he has to be older than what my obgyn and high risk doctors are saying going based off the monitor and his movements

I have gotten one steroid shot and will be getting the other at 8 tonight

My question is what happened to yall when you got a positive test?

I know that say not to worry that false positives are common but since I'm already at high risk for preterm labor they say just be on the safe side but it may be he stays in till he is full term

When did yall deliver baby if you got a positive? I'm hoping when I get out of the hospital he stays in there for atleast a little while longer so he can get alittle more mature

Please my nurses are wonderful at answering my questions but I wanna hear from someone who's had this happen before and had the test come out positive etc

Forgot to mention I was having contractions for a week and some days

Update: the took me of the magnesium sulfate and already I'm contracting not big spikes from what I see but it's painful it's in my back and the left side of my abdomin I have yet to see a nurse but maybe soon this pain is intense with my first I felt nothing when I went into labor so this is all new to me
