Baby choked on spit up and couldn’t breathe
My baby is 2 months old tomorrow. Today I got home and the nanny had him asleep in his dock a tot on his side.
I went to my room to pump and heard a faint noise coming from his room so I stopped to check on him. When I went in there he was flailing his arms around and gasping for air. I could tell he just spit up so I grabbed him and held him face down to try to let gravity get the spit up out. He kept flailing his arms and his eyes were huge. It took probably 30 seconds before he could start to breathe again.
I’m just so upset because it was so terrifying. I’m feeling like I want to quit work so I can be with him all the time because I keep thinking what if I wasn’t home and the nanny didn’t check on him.
I don’t know why I’m posting this I’m just freaking out :(
EDIT: I never use the dock a tot for sleep. He either sleeps on me while I’m awake or in his snoo bassinet. I just went against my better judgment and figured the nanny knew more than me.
