Low progesterone at 5 weeks?

I finally got a positive pregnancy test at 4 weeks pregnant and I am extremely excited. I went to my doctor today at 5 weeks and 3 days and he told me that I have low progesterone and prescribed me a cream. I am very scared he told me that I have to take it easy, no strenuous activities. Has anyone had this issue?

I take a progesterone cream more as a safety precaution because my hormones aren’t normal and I wasn’t even getting periods on my own. I’m almost 5 weeks now and my levels are good using it the twice a day it’s meant to be taken. 
Hormones are scary but easily manipulated. Just follow all your directions and you should be ok!
