Anyone else trying to buy a house in this market? My husband and I have been saving diligently for years to buy our first home. Job changes due to Covid forced us to move in with his parents for almost a year and we are finally at a point where we can comfortably afford to buy our first home. We have been shopping for months and have bid on several homes (well over asking) and keep losing to offers that are $50k over asking, waiving inspections, waiving appraisals… we have no idea how to contend with this. Any advice on how to deal with this market? All we want is a house that is worth living in!!!
