Is it okay to tell one parent (out of 4 including in laws) you’re pregnant but wait to tell the others?

I think its okay because not everyone is there for you the same. Some deserve special treatment
I told my mother as soon as I knew and I always make my MIL wait. Last time we didn't tell her until I was 9 months and basically due. Some people are worth informing and others not so much.

Do whatever you want. My fiance told his parents at 7 weeks but I waited until 12 weeks to tell my family

I told my mom first. And then a few weeks later we told my dad and my husband's parents.

As others have said you can announce to whoever and however you want. Both times we’ve waited until I was out of the first trimester and we tell my in laws first and dad first as my mom has a big mouth and refuses to keep things to herself. So she always gets told last 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do what works for you. My mil has a huge mouth and told everyone when she knew I was having problems and might lose it honestly it ruined our relationship. So now she finds out last. She wasn’t happy being grandma and finding out last about the birth but she only has herself to blame.

Yep! Itz whatever you want. My mother always knew the day i found out (usually around 4 weeks). My dad id tell a few days later. My MIL is always the last to know (usually a week or so after the scan so usually between 8-9 weeks). So for us there was always a huge gap between everyone finding out

Do whatever you’re comfortable with. You know you’re relationship with each of them, it’s not the same for everybody. I told my mom first. It was kind of weird timing bc my sister and her husband came in to town and announced they were pregnant the day before we’d been going to tell them (my fiancé was working the day they announced and we’d been going to tell them together). So to me it felt wrong to still announce like we’d planned as I didn’t want to take away from their announcement at all. My mom kind of guessed and I told her that day, and ended up telling all of my family one on one instead of “announcing”. My fiancé told his family separately (and I’m pretty sure in a group text lol). They’re out of town and I guess it’s a normal way for them to share big news lol. 
So you just have to figure out what works for you and your relationships with each of those people. I think my dad was a bit offended that he was the last to know and that I chose to tell everyone separately, but my mom talked to him and explained why I did, so he was fine after that.

I told my mom and stepdad right away but waited till after the first ultrasound to tell my dad and stepmom because I had a miscarriage in Sept. and wanted to wait a little.
