So when I first went to the doctor in my pregnancy after they confirmed a baby, they did a bunch of blood work and tested for all sorts of things: hcg levels, drug tests, and all sorts of stds. I don’t remember all these things being tested in my first 2 pregnancies, so the drug test and std tests kinda took me by surprise. Especially since the only person I’ve been with for the past 7 years is my husband. But whatever I didn’t think much of it at the time.

Well, they did my glucose screen last week and I noticed in my patient portal that they also tested for HIV? Idk if I’m overreacting but why didn’t they tell me they were drawing for that? I don’t understand why they would just test for that without reason, and I don’t feel like anything in my lifestyle gave them a reason to test me for it. What do you all think???
