How much is a hsg test?

My gynecologist wants me to get an HSG. Test done, im wondering how much will i have to paid for it.
Does insurance covers it?
I have ppo- blue cross blue shield of texas

Luckily, I had hit my deductible for the year,  but my insurance was billed $2600 for the procedure itself and my OBGYN office billed an additional $500 for have a staff member there. 
I also needed to have a pre-authorization from my insurance for them to pay for it. This is something your OB office should know about and warn you about- but it’s worth asking if they don’t mention it. They take care of this through the insurance company for you.

Most insurance will cover it.  My insurance didn’t cover fertility however they paid for the HSG

You have to call your insurance and find out.

Like someone else said I would call your insurance company and ask before hand. Get them to give you the procedure code and they should be able to tell you over the phone the cost. I have BCBS and had to pay for a percentage of the dye cost. It was 150 after insurance and 700 before insurance.
