Any tips or thoughts on the willow pump 2.0
I just purchased a new without box willow 2.0 pump with a bunch of extras. Im SUPER excited as im mainly pumping. My son, born on 01/29 had glucose issues, plus they made a huge mistake and unnecessarily messed up a HUGE part of my birth plan and my absolute want and need to breastfeed this baby. In a nutshell he wasn't fed at ALL for the first 2+ hours after he was born and ended up with super low glucose. 40 is normal and he was 24. So before the boob was even introduced he needed formula. Eventually he needed an NG tube and was barely eating by mouth at all. I started pumping and they started to fortify my breast milk and we began to teach him how to take feeds by mouth. Never by breast at tjah point.
After a week we came home, with me still pumping and fortifying my breastmilk. While I don't mind this I am constantly plugged into a wall.
I wouldn't care but I have a toddler who is starting to show signs of being "left out". Since last week I got the ok to breastfeed and not just pump. And slowly we are getting better in that department. But it's still nurse, then pump so at night or during times he doesn't seem content after nursing I have milk for him. And because he's still not gaining weight well (only 2oz this last week, putting him at 3 weeks Friday ans only 6lbs 6oz, the 1st percentile) I know I will have to fortify more often.
I have both the Medela advanced ans Spectra S2. Love them both. BUT again I have a toddler and when I'm pumping I'm unable to do anything else. And when I get so tired I'm nervous to nurse in bed I know I need to pump instead.
So again I went ans found a new, without box Willow 2.0 ans wonder what others think of it.
It came with a ton of extras and I'm super excited especially to not have to be tethered down, plus I've heard you cab actually pump atnight while sleeping.
So, who has one and can give me as much information as possible? Any tips or tricks? Good and bad things? Baga vs reusable container? Comparisons to the other pumps?
Thanks (ans sorry for the super long "nutshell" post).
