Ladies when your dating do you keep a strict policy of what your looking for? Do you allow yourself to veer off? I am back in the dating scene and I feel maybe I should be pickier but don't wanna rule out someone great. What are your big lines in the sand? Religion? Having it together?

Most important is matching lifestyles! You can date Brad Pitt but if you like the outdoors and he wants to stay in and watch the game every night you'll always be miserable. Have the same lifestyle views like how relationships should be, religion, ethics and politics. You want a teammate and a best friend, not just some hot guy with a bank account who's great in bed.

3) no cops

I always had criteria, and I always dated assholes.  I wouldn't have given my husband the time of day five years ago--and he did try.  But now I realize there are more important things: how he treats me and how caring he is towards others.  Being 6 ft tall isn't going to make a man a good father.

After 8 years(!!) being single, at 34.5 I tried online again- as a skeptic. The one small change I made, which was a big deal was dropping the age range down to 30 upwards. I'd never imagined dating a younger man. But he was the very first man I met off the site. Turned out we're more right for each other than anyone else we've dated. We're currently moving in together. Oh, and he'd upped his age range, which was kind of a big deal for him too. Funny how things happen. I'd have never thought!

If they don't identify as a feminist I'm out because they either don't understand the word, allow bad apples to scare them away or they believe that sex effects worth and I don't need that kind of negativity in my life.
