How to make friends for toddler?

So my daughter is two and doesn’t have anyone to play with. With covid and winter going on it’s even harder to figure out what to do for her. My family lives across the country and my SO isn’t close with his family. I’ve thought to enroll her in swim classes and take her to a kids gym but I’d like for her to have an actual friend. Any advice?

You really can't force that... especially at that age...kids make their own friends...my daughter makes her friends at daycare

I’ve seen posts on my towns Facebook group of moms looking for friends for their little ones. I even saw one for a ten year old (they recently moved when schools closed so never had the chance to meet anyone). Another was for a 9month old and SOO many people commented saying they would be up for a community walk. I think many parents are in this position, just need one to speak up to start some friendships!

Maybe look on facebook for mother groups or something like that and find someone who has a kid or kids your age and try make friends with them so you can set up play dates. That's how I met one of my friends and my daughter got a friend (unfortunately they moved an hour and a half away :( ).
