Its normal as long as youre not passing clots any bigger than an egg or golf ball, and as long as you arent filling a pad within an hour. Bleeding can be off and on for the full 6 weeks depending on your physical activity.

Bleeding in pregnancy is never ever normal! Especially red heavy blood like that!

You may bleed from one-six weeks postpartum, everyone is different. Your uterus is contracting to shrink back to its original size. Did nobody in your life warn you about postpartum recovery? Most women wear enormous pads and even adult diapers for awhile. As another woman commented, as long as no clots or foul smell than this is normal recovery.
