Do I shave before a tattoo?

I have my first tattoo appointment on Monday. It will be on my arm, but I'm not sure if we're starting on my forearm or bicep. I have some decent hair on my lower arms, should I shave it or wait and let the artist decide? Thanks in advance! 😊

My artist always shaves the area I’m getting tattooed. They do such a good job I always just let them do it 😂 I never get any razor bumps or ingrown hairs from them. If your shop doesn’t do that then you should shave before hand

You can always shave before to save them some time but if there’s a decent amount of hair more than peach fuzz they usually shave it off

No. I always leave it to the tattoo artist just incase i nick myself.

I do as well. I’m very Italian and you can tell 😂 but I didn’t shave before hand because my artist told me not to worry about it and they did it.
