Fighting adoption.
Hey guys I have an unusual topic that I wanted to share.
This is the story about a case in which a father had his parental rights terminated illegally. He fought his daughters adoption through the courts eventually almost having to adopt his own biological child.
While the story is very different I wanted to seek your opinions on the system being used. Should this system of dads registering online to confirm parenthood be used in all 50 states? The purpose of the system is to notify the courts that a man fathered a child with a woman and she cannot place the child up for adoption without his chance to fight in court for parental rights.
I see that this could be used for bad purposes on both ends but I’m thinking in terms of the case at hand. Should this be an effectively implemented tool to secure that fathers who want to be fathers get that chance?
