Heart palpitations?

Question

Is anyone experiencing occasional heart palpitations? I feel it directly in the middle of my chest every few days or so, and only lasts for a few seconds. Still scary. I’ll be 18 weeks in a few days. 
If you have it, did you tell your OB? What did they say needs to be done?

I have them even outside of pregnancy. Mine are related to anxiety which can be a very common cause of them. I’ve asked several doctors about them and they all say it’s fine and it’s just a normal thing. If you’ve never had them before it doesn’t hurt to bring up to your doctor.

I’ve had them since I was 18 (now 33) but they have been more active with this pregnancy. I’ve told my OB and they aren’t concerned since I have a history AND no other symptoms with it. I asked to see a cardiologist to just get a clean bill of health (makes me personally feel better)I’ve learned from a million urgent care, ER and Dr visits that most aren’t serious at all even if they see them on the EKG happening at that exact moment (I thought it was it for me lol) they aren’t concerned if you aren’t having chest pain or passing out. There are times i still get scared but it passes. Fluctuating hormones plays a HUGE part of it during pregnancy :) I hope this helps!

So I had this happen from both of my pregnancies. My obgyn didn't like it and I have had to see a cardiologist. It was ruled that during my pregnancy my heart rate is extremely fast and I low blood pressure. It is hereditary and my mom has the same issue. So I just have extra precautions. I would talk to your obgyn and see what they say I didn't have to wear a heart monitor but I did have to have a CAT scan and a couple EKGs. Best wishes.
