Did my water break?

Before I call the hospital or go down there what do you ladies think? I was dead asleep and felt a gush of fluid come out completely clear no smell it woke me from my sleep followed by cramping and diarrhea. It was not a lot but enough to wake me up from sleeping. Could that have been my water breaking? I’m not having contractions yet. I’m 38weeks 5 days!

My water didn’t break Friday when I went to get checked out so they sent me home, then that night at 11pm I started having contractions nothing I couldn’t sleep through but woke up at 2am with contractions I couldn’t ignore went to the ER and went from a 4-5cm in less than an hr so they kept me then I went from a 5-7 in one hr and had him yesterday 2-20-2021 at 3:05pm💙💙

I’d get tested- my waters broke and only a small amount came out. It did not keep running when I put a pad on but they had me come in to get tested just to make sure and it actually was my waters.

When my water broke, it was small trickles of warm liquid for an hour or more, not one big gush like you see in the movies. Not saying it couldn't have been your water as this was my first birth and I don't know others' experiences. Just sharing my input! Good luck either way.

If it hasn’t continued flowing out, it was likely not your water but if you’re ever concerned, definitely go in! They just do a simple ph strip test to determine:)

They would tell you to put a pad on and check if it’s wet in an hour.

That’s how my started. I don’t have any prior contractions when my water suddenly broke.
