My 7 year old daughter has an iPhone with every restriction possible. Her 5 year old step brother has a tablet with YouTube and TikTok and basically anything he wants to do because there are no restrictions. This is out of my control since he lives with his mother and we only have him on the weekends. Am I wrong for telling my fiancé he needs to have a talk with his sons mother? My daughter is upset because “it’s not fair” in her words. I feel like my step sons mom just doesn’t want to deal with him. Every time we pick him up she sends him with nothing but his tablet and ps3. I went out and bought him a bunch of new clothes and shoes because every time he is here he’s wearing boots that are a size 3 and he’s a 13.5 maybe a 1. She sends him in clothes that don’t fit him too. He also says he never takes a bath at home and every time he goes home wearing the shoes I bought or the clothes I bought he never brings them back because “his dog tore them up”. Honestly I feel like we should be filing for custody but that’s not my place. I almost forgot to add, the kid is very smart but he acts extremely dumb when he’s here. Is that an attention thing?
