Do you ever apologize just to keep the peace?

My husband and I are in a fight and he thinks I should apologize. I don’t think I’m wrong but his feelings are hurt bc I told him the ugly truth that he needed to hear. That’s why I’m not sorry. Bc I always keep my mouth shut to save feelings.

Tell him you’re sorry for HOW you said it but not for WHAT you said.

I apologize when I'm wrong or when my actions hurt somebody.  I don't apologize when he feels bad for his own actions and I'm the one who brought it up.

Just because you didn’t MEAN to hurt his feelings doesn’t mean he didn’t get his feelings hurt. Of course I apologize, even if the intention wasn’t to hurt feelings

Don’t apologize if you don’t mean it, but an apology can go a long way. You can apologize sincerely for hurting his feelings or upsetting him, without regretting what you said.

Sometimes an apology is agreeing to disagree. Only apologize for what you are actually sorry for, was it how the *truth* was said out of anger?

Apologise for hurting his feelings yes, but not for being faithful. If he can see you did it out of love he'll take it
