Narcolepsy?
For awhile now since I was 17 or 18 I would get super tired during the day. At one point I could sleep 14-16 hours on my days off. My husband and I could go hang with friends where there is loud music and tons of people and I would nap there. Just last night I slept 9 hours and I don’t remember waking up during the night but I woke up still tired. So tired that I’ve been on the couch all day napping. From 9-2. In and out of sleep. Also I can pretty much fall asleep anywhere in under 2-3 minutes. No matter what. It’s a blessing but a curse at the same time. Idk what’s wrong with me. I’ve had my thyroid checked and it was normal. I do take Zoloft but I only just started that last year and this issue has been going on for 8 years now. I’ve never fallen asleep while driving day to day but if I take a long trip where I’m driving more than 4 hours I have trouble staying alert. It’s like my body goes into this trance where I’m out of it and I have no choice but to take a nap. This affects my day to day life. Is this what narcolepsy feels like? I plan on seeing a doctor and getting blood work and a sleep study done but I was just curious because my mother in law said I have narcoleptic tendencies.
