Help!! Are these contractions?

I’m 39+4 and was feeling tummy get hard + noticeable cramps and lower back pain every few mins (it’s not too too consistent... sometimes every 5-6 mins, sometimes 10mins.
Are these considered contractions or Braxton Hicks? Im not sure if I need to head to hospital... I’m a ftm so any advice would be appreciated!!

If they are even the slightest bit painful, and if the contraction itself is lasting 1 minute, I would say call L&D and head in! Coming from a second time momma who delivered both her babies at 39+4 :)

That looks like it is. Download the contractions timer app and it’ll give you an accurate visual and also tell you when you should consider going to the hospital. My labour started with contractions already 5 min apart and the app kept saying I should go to the hospital by now but the hospital kept saying wait it out. Turned out by the the third time the app said, go to the hospital and we finally went, I was already 7cm dialated haha. Trust the timing and your body. You know what feels different to you and when you need to go in.

When they are 4 mins apart lasting a minute for the past hour that’s when you’ll head into hospital!
