Sex...tearing?

Sorry TMI - Had a quickie this morning and I think maybe I tore a little. Some minor bleeding from the tear and very sore. Is it stupid to be paranoid that if I’m tearing NOW, I’m definitely going to tear during delivery? Would more sex lessen the likelihood of tearing?

I don’t think they go hand in hand , now there’s pre labor massages you can do or your Husband can do to your private area to degrees the chance of your tearing but nothing is 100

Tearing during labor is very common but I was also very scared of tearing with my first. But any tearing from sex would be considered “first degree” it’s just the skin and often during labor they don’t even stitch first degree tears. Second/third and forth require stitches. So I wouldn’t say you are any more likely to require stitches then any other first time mom. A lot of factors go Into it such as speed of delivery and baby’s position.  If baby is sunny side up, tearing is more likely. Or if you require the vacuum or forceps tearing or an episiotomy are far more likely. So I would try not to worry to much, I know it’s easier said than done. stressing will not change a thing! My first I had 3rd degree tears due to forceps, my second I didn’t even need a stitch and he was 10 lbs. so nothing is for sure.

I would say MOST first time mothers have some degree of tear when they give birth the first time. It’s really not all that big of deal, they stitch you up and everything heals. You’re less likely to tear with subsequent births.
