When are you letting family meet your baby?

With the pandemic and everything going on are you allowing everyone to meet your baby right away? Are you waiting a while? If so how long? Or do you have any stipulations in place If you’re not waiting.? ￼￼

But seriously I have some really irresponsible ppl around me as far as covid is concerned so it's just a no for me..I don't want to sift through the lies and figure out who's safe who's not. Who takes precautions who doesn't. A friend just asked me to a playdate and her husband currently has the flu 🤦. Then got mad because I declined. I just am not taking chances because someone wants to show up empty handed at my house and hold my baby. I'm good. I've had a crazy high risk pregnancy.  I just want a safe healthy delivery with peace and rest after. If you love me respect me. ❤️

We aren’t going to be super strict about people coming to visit. We will make sure everyone washes their hands and tell them to not kiss the baby. We will have family and close friends come by if they want to meet the baby but we won’t have as many people come as we did with my son. My toddler will still be going to daycare and my husband will be back to work after a week so we won’t be hiding away from the germs very well to begin with.

My mom will see the baby right away because she’s watching our toddler while we’re in the hospital.
My best friend who lives in the apartment downstairs probably will come up, I will prob have her wear a mask, wash hands, etc. and prob no holding the baby. Same for my dad, brother and SIL if they want to come.
Then the following month my in-laws are coming to stay with us for a while, but they will quarantine and get tested first and won’t go anywhere else so they’ll essentially just be part of our household.
We’ll send videos to other friends and extended family.

No one will see the new baby for a while. Heck, my daughter is 16 months and still hasn’t met my in laws.

Only my parents and siblings will get too meet her right away my mom is watching her sister while I’m in labor so they’ll get to meet her when we get out of the hospital I’ve been around them my whole pregnancy and my sister and brother live next door too my mom so they’ll most likely meet her as well I was advised to quarantine from 34 weeks on and my mom is as well that way when ever she does decide to come we haven’t been exposed, my dad and husband and brother in law are the only ones who work right now and would be a potential risk but they get Covid tested every week at work so I’m not too worried about them having it. Other than that no one will get too meet baby until she’s at least 3 months old

Maybe my in laws will see the baby, since they are watching my son. But that is it! I’m thinking that I will let others meet him once the weather gets better and we can meet outside. With my son none of the kids were allowed to hold him until he was 4 months old and that was before the pandemic, so we have always been very strict.

Nobody 🤷‍♀️ if things are looking up, family can meet her this summer when we can be outside and more distanced. You gotta do what you feel is right for your baby mama, your instincts won’t fool you. For me it isn’t worth the anxiety of something happening

We decided to let immediate family members only (moms, dads, grandparents & some siblings) the first few weeks to a month and then select friends after that. We also already have a plan that everyone has to wear a face mask while around her and absolutely no kissing or snuggling up next to her face. Since it’s RSV season along with covid I’m not about anyone getting close to her face at all!

Close family can meet her when we get home. I'm doing temp checks at the door and vaccines are mandatory. Masks are also required while holding her. My little one will be born with antibodies since I got covid in January but I still am anxious.
