Extreme hip and groin pain

Im 30 weeks on Monday with my fourth child. I've been having really bad pain in my groin and hip, so bad that I can't walk. I told my ob this yesterday. She seemed to think I was over exaggerating. She knows this is my fourth child and that ive had cancer before; I know pain and my tolerance is very high.

So, me crying and not being able to walk, I see as a big deal. She basically told me to deal with it. Here I am, the very next day, with pain so bad I feel like I'm going to pass out.

If I go to the ER, would they be able to give me something for the pain? Im pretty freaking desperate right now. Extra strength tylenol is NOT cutting it. I do not think I can handle ten more weeks of this.

I’m 38w6d with the same issue. My ob said he would send something to help to my pharmacy & I went to pick it up & he prescribed me oxycodone. Honestly I probably won’t take it because I’m use to like Tylenol and I can’t tolerate pain meds really well. But just commenting to say my experience about getting something for pain to help. I read a comment and it said they won’t give you anything 🙄 which is clearly untrue in some cases.

Epsom salt baths and google some SPD stretches... I know it hurts to move those stretches really help. I also go to a chiropractor and it has done wonders. I’m sorry you are hurting so bad, but like others said, it’s a pretty typical pain due to the relaxin being produced and getting close to labor.

If you truly believe something is wrong, demand someone in the OB see you and confirm everything is fine. Better safe than sorry.

no they won’t give you any pain meds, the pain you’re having is normal. there isn’t much anybody can do for it either. take a hot bath
