Baby eye color getting lighter??

Has anyone’s baby’s eye color actually gotten lighter as they got older?

My first had very dark blue at birth, he’s now 2.5 and they’re like light hazel in the center then blue on the edge (top row below).

My daughter is 5 months and she was also born with very dark blue eyes, I can’t tell what color they’re turning though (second row) - Google says they will get darker but so far they seem to be getting lighter like her brother’s!

Anyone else experience this? Does it look like my daughter might have same color eyes ultimately as my son? It’s hard to tell!
