Ok so I told people I want to name my daughter either Chloe, Zoey, Emma, or Declan. Well then my fiancé and I narrowed it down to Zoey or Declan. So far I've had people on both sides of our families tell me that no matter what they are calling my child (X name). It is so aggravating. Like my mother and sister in law said they are calling her poppy. So now all of his moms family calls her poppy. And they said they really like the name Emma Lorraine so that's what we r naming her. -_- my cousin told me she's calling her Emma no matter what I name her. I know they are kind of joking but I also know they probably will. Am I overreacting? Or am I right to feel that this is my decision what to name my child and that it's blatantly disrespectful to me to do this? Like what is the point of me naming my child if everyone is going to use some other name?
