I’m late on my period is this caused by birth control?

Hello everyone, I have a question. 
I was taking birth control pills, Lutera to be exact, and I stopped them in January I finished the whole month even the placebo week and then I stopped it, now my period is late and I’m really scared, is this maybe caused because I stopped taking my pills? Please help.

Have you had sex? Like it’s been a month since you stopped taking them, you won’t be protected anymore. So if you’ve had unprotected sex you should probably do a test. In some cases, it can take a few weeks/months for your periods to go back to normal but I would definitely do a test if you’ve had sex.
