Still rear-facing?

So much info out there.  How long are you planning on on keeping your LO rear-facing?

It's the official guidance to keep the kiddos rear-facing to the max allowable by the car seat manufacturer.
Here's the logic:
"Why keep them rear-facing for so long? In a crash, the car seat’s hard shell supports the child’s head, neck, and spine, and the car seat absorbs most of the impact. When the child is forward-facing, however, the harness straps restrain the body, but the head can get thrown forward, which can cause injuries to the head and spine."

I'd also recommend discussing the switch with your pediatrician at their 2-year check-up so you can make the best decision for your situation.

Same as everyone else on here. Going to max it out. My first I turned right away bc I didn’t know better but it’s far safer to keep them rear facing as long as possible until they max out the car seat requirements. My son doesn’t seem to mind it either.

As long as possible. My older kids switched at various ages but my super petite daughter stayed rear facing to five. I hope to keep my March baby rear facing to 4.

Probably age 3. We’re about to have 4 kids under 25/26 months...so 4 rear facing. (March 2019 being our oldest) 
With the last one being in a click in bucket seat, we can load the other 3 then click the bucket seat in last. However when we go to a convertible seats. I’m not sure we’ll be able to get to our third row to get 2 kids in their car seats, so we’ll most likely turn our oldest forward then.

Prob turn him pretty soon. He’s so scrunched   He’s ok for short rides but longer ones he’s starting to cry a lot and kick the seat. So next time I take the seat out to clean it I’ll forward face him

As long as possible. I think my daughter is scared to go forward facing. Twice I've had her on my lap just sitting in the car (car wasn't turned on) and she started crying like she was terrified just to be facing that direction. We'll probably have our work cut out for us when it's time to go forward since it be a huge disruption to her routine and her 'normal'. She doesn't do very well with change.
