What’s the one thing you changed to get a BFP

Hi ladies! Aunt flow showed up today so I’m moving into cycle #8 TTC. Womp womp. I’m curious though, for those of you who have conceived, was there anything you did differently the cycle you got your BFP? And I’m not just talking things that are medically proven, I’m curious about ANYTHING! Whether it was a new vitamin, removing vitamins, a vacation, new lube, no lube, laying down after BDing, changing the days you BD’ed, changing the position of your BDing, relaxation techniques, diet changes. WHATEVER🤗Anything that you hadn’t done before, but then you did and ended up with a BFP!!

I didn’t really change anything! Not even diet. But what works for me every time is sex every other day or 2 days when period ends til next is due (or whenever you want around the time it’s due) App was never accurate for ovulation for me so we did it whenever we wanted pretty much. We always tried to skip 1 day at least. Rare time we did 2 days in a row but never more then 2. Never used opks when ttc (only when preventing to keep up with it) never did vitamins. NEVER laid in bed after sex, ALWAYS got up to pee right away lol. We got pregnant 1 cycle all 5 pregnancies 🙂

Love this! Thank you!!! Our sex has always been jammed in around my fertile window, but this month we decided to go every other day-ish following my period until the next! I’m glad to hear that worked for you!!! Hopefully us too!

The sex thing we did without stressing out. We had sex when we were ‘in the mood’ but we have high sex drives! So it was usually every other day ttc or not 😂

Got acupunture, gave up gluten and went to a herbalist to boost hormones. Pregnant that month.

Basically a doctor but without the chemicals. So my herbalist sent me for bloods and then from the results and an hour long chat mixed up a herbal remedy. I take 3 times a day. Works to balance out hormones, reduce stress and some other stuff. We’ll see!

I agree with Kristen. When i had my son in 2017 we were trying for awhile. Once we stopped TRYING is when we conceived him. The trying was stopped so much so that when AF didnt show up i was more worried than excited bc i was not in that trying stage lol

Also the Ovularion tracking is crazy to me. You are the real MVP! I could never. I think it was also because we had so much going on in our lives at that time with my bfs mom passing and going to see family and her service (traveled from CO to MA fir the servixe) so i wasnt thinking about my period. Was too focused on family visits. And also that timing wasnt right. Wr had to uproot ourselves and move back home to mass from colorado. He even tuened doen a job at almost 25 an hour for me bc i wanted to be with my family when i had my son. So i guess stress helps too 🤔😂 cuz my gosh that timing was super stressful. Noe tryinf for baby number 2 and im tempted to try the ovulation strips. Im not getting any younger 😬

Yeah i could never get into all that. Idk how you lafies do it. Like you said its stressful. Thats def the opposite if what you want for your pregnancy. But its so hsrd to not think aboit it and biy all kinds of tests when you're so excited for the BFP 😩😩 its just a cycle of stress ugh. My best advjce is just chill have fun eith your man and let it go. They also say (i dont know hoe true it is and not to be too tmi or personal) but as a woman when we get an 'O' in we have a better chance of getting our baby 💜💜

😂😂 that’s amazing! I’m thinking of limiting the effort I put in. For example, cutting out BBTing after ovulation is confirmed. It just stresses me out so much! I overanalyze everything and get upset at myself just for oversleeping lol

I started OPKs earlier than recommended and found out I was actually ovulating earlier than I thought, by about 4 days. I also always lay down for about 15 mins after sex and took folic acid and vitamin D supplements for 18 months while TTC.

I’m not 100% sure but I was told by my doctor to take vitamin D and folic acid when TTC so I just did 😂

OPKs! The first month we used them, I conceived. We also used preseed, just due to my lack of CM.

I’ve been using OPKs and we just added preseed last month. Question - how much preseed do you use per session? I feel like sometimes it’s a little overkill lol

I can’t believe I’m about to be one of these statistics, but we had been trying all of 2020, using OPKs, and in December I finally gave in and ordered some pre-seed and what do ya know, I got pregnant 😂 obviously can’t say that’s what did it but I’ll definitely use it again when it’s time to try for #2

I think I went to the 2g line, maybe once like 2.5. It looked like a lot in the applicator but I didn’t feel like I was a goopy mess or anything, I guess there is plenty of space up there for it to spread around? Good luck!!!

With my first I “gave up” because we decided to get my husband tested (had been off birth control for a few years with no protection then actively trying almost a year) and I started planning a big trip we had talked about doing forever. Landed pregnant before he even got tested. My second pregnancy I had started having terrible cramps around ovulation time and I thought it was random but decided to BD while the cramps were happening and ended up pregnant.

Thank you!! I’ve been trying prrretty hard the last 7 cycles, so I was thinking this month of just sort of letting things go. I don’t have much more emotional energy to put in🙁 but I’ve heard from others that sometimes the best thing you can do is to stop obsessively trying/give up on the tracking. So hopefully that will work for us too! 🤞

I’ve gained a bit of weight in quarantine and was wondering if that could have an impact. Last month I started working out more and eating better, so maybe that could lead to better results for me. Thanks for the response! And congrats to you - both on your health journey and the little babes!
