Therapy and Toxic Relationship
Has therapy ever helped you let go of a toxic relationship?
I've been in a toxic relationship for 7 years now and it seems the longer I hold on the harder it is to let go. I'm thinking about starting therapy when my insurance kicks in, a majority of the reason being because of my relationship and if I'm overreacting my wanting to break up or if my feelings are valid. It's just, every time we broke up in the past, I feel immediately guilty and feel bad for him. It doesn't help we have a child together too. I feel like a therapist can help me navigate my feelings in this. Anyone have similar experience?
