We've read storybook Bibles, but I'd like to start reading the actual Bible to them. I don't know where to begin. Is there a good pathway for children for going through the Bible as a read aloud? I feel like we've already covered the most children friendly stories. I also feel conflicted about if I should leave the more scary, harsh parts out, or if that would defeat the purpose. How have your younger children reacted to some of the more mature parts of the Bible? I dont want to leave things out, but I dont want to read them things they won't be able to handle either. Any advise would be really helpful.
