Am I pregnant?

I just got off birth control about 5 months ago. My cycle is consistently 28 days. I am currently 5 day late for my period. I took a test yesterday and we saw a super faint line. This morning I took a test and I dont see anything. Please help me with ideas. I'm going to try to go see my doctor and see if they will do a test but appointments are usually a week or so out. Any help or tips is appreciated as this is my first time with all of this!
