I lose total respect for women for decide to smoke during their pregnancy! I dont care if it was once or their baby came out fine. Awful choice. my opinion.

Wow, I feel a lot of judgement and hatred here. I smoked with both my kids and they didn't have any issues. Did I WANT to smoke? No, but if you're not a smoker you don't understand how hard it is to quit. One of my doctors actually told me it would be worse to quit during the pregnancy than to keep smoking because the baby could suffer withdrawals. I'm talking cigarettes here, not anything else. I think that if you've never smoked, you really don't understand how difficult it can be to stop.

My sisters daughter  has serious damage because my sister was always smoking. Yes alot of women dont have problems but there is a chance your baby might dont take that risk. And if you need something for morning sickness there are so many other options that you can eat or medications you can take that wont harm your baby or you

This topic is one of my biggest pet peeves. If you know the damages that smoking does to your body why would you ever wanna do that to an innocent infant who can't make the desicion to smoke or not. I would never wanna take a chance on my child being born premature or with bad lungs or trouble breathing? It's just NOT worth it. You may as well be doing drugs if your gonna smoke. Keeping your baby away from second hand smoke after labor is just as important!!!!

So disgusting!!! Smoking while pregnant is child abuse!!! I was a smoker and the minute I saw that BFP I threw the cigarettes in the garbage. It wasn't even hard!! You know why?? I cared more about my baby's health than my own selfish disgusting habit!!! Shame on any woman who does this.

Women don't always know if their baby is just fine or not. They want to think they are fine if they aren't born with an extra appendage or something physically visible. There are multiple things that babies who have mothers who smoke deal with. It truly is one of the most selfish things a mom can do. Ear infections and allergies and asthma are very common childhood ailments. Mothers who smoke may want to think these things are normal, but in so many cases, they caused it.

Every woman I know who smoked with their child has had problems. With them either being colic, or they get ear infections all the time. Constantly sick or have terrible asthma. I wouldn't suggest it. Clearly says on the box not to use durning pregnancy

Also, if a women smoked and they said there baby had no problems. Well if they did their research any deeper, it will cause there baby a possibility of having asthma in the long run even if your around second hand smoke. It's also a possibility in the future that your child can have an addiction to certain things and having a harder time quitting. Same thing with taking drugs.
