Won’t get an ultrasound until 12-14 weeks?

So I called to make my first appointment. I’ll meet with the OBGYN at 8 weeks, but when I asked the receptionist when I’d get my first ultrasound, she said between 12-14 weeks. My sister got her first one at 8 weeks in her first pregnancy and in her second pregnancy at 9 weeks. Is this normal? I just thought it would be a little sooner since I see so many ladies on here showing their 7 or 8 week sonogram pics. I know it’s fine either way, I just really wanna see my little baby bean.

12-14 weeks it not that bad it's normal I had my first ultrasound at 17 weeks.

Normal. It all depends on the doctor. Some do 8 weeks but especially with covid, a lot of doctors are now waiting till around 12. You can always go do a private scan if you must, just have to pay.

It’s normal. My first appointment wasn’t until 11 weeks. I went in earlier because of pain and spotting and they did an ultrasound just to make sure it wasn’t ectopic. Halfway through my pregnancy my doctor changed - same office. The new doctor did a quick ultrasound every visit.

Like others said it'll depend on where you go and their policies. When I was pregnant with my daughter I was originally going to have my first at 20 weeks but ended up getting one at 12 weeks.

Yup normal. All depends on the office/dr. I didn’t have an ultrasound til day before 12 weeks lol with both kids. And that’s with 3 miscarriages between them. I don’t wanna be seen before 9 weeks anyways.
