Is there such a thing as "too old" to have a baby?

I know this isn't controversy corner but found it interesting.  This woman gave birth to twins at 73 yrs old. Here I am at 34 saying I'm too old to have another baby 😂 do you think there's such a thing as "too" old?

Yes. I’m tired at 32. Also, aren’t risks for the baby and mom higher? 
Lastly- who is ovulating and getting a period for that many years?! No thanks.

I’m considered an older mom as I got pregnant at 35 and had my son at 36.  I don’t think that’s too old as I can keep up with my son and give him the energetic childhood he deserves.  But I would not want a child in my 50s or older.  Eventually everyone deserves “me” time / retirement.  And your kids also shouldn’t have to take care of you when they should concentrate on graduating, getting jobs, traveling and in general enjoying life.

Yes, because those poor babies aren't going to have their Mom for very long. My step-dad had "old" parents (they were in their 50s when they had him) and he said his childhood was very lonely and hard. They couldn't play with him, they stayed home a lot and he felt like he had to take care of his parents from an early age. 😞

I think it just depends on the person. My sister waited until she was in her late thirties to have her son and she’s got just as much energy as I do 😂. I definitely think there’s a line though. I don’t know why someone in their seventies would want a baby at that point in their life 🥴.

She's going to be 83 by the time those kids are 10. I don't care how spry you are, at any age, that's down right exhausting. I wish her the most and best of luck!!

I think there is. I know that after a certain point your body just isn’t what it used to be. 😂 It’s hard work keeping up with kids. 
But “too old” is different for everyone. My mom had her last at 36, she’s 46 now. She keeps up with my 10 & 15 year old brothers just fine. She’s still fit and they take my brothers on trips every year and they’re always doing fun stuff with them now that there are only two left at home. She said she would have had more kids had her last pregnancy not been so shitty. I think that she had more difficulty conceiving but she was still able to conceive naturally even though she had gotten her tubes tied and then untied. My sister in law was a bit irritated with her and thought she was “way too old” to be having kids and refused to have any more with my brother until my mom was for sure done - my two nephews are 11 & 15 and are just a tiny bit older than my youngest brothers and my sister in law thought that was too weird.
