Anyone feeling sad about having a second child?

Don’t get me wrong so thrilled to be a family of 4 soon and it’s what I’ve always wanted but now that I’m on the home stretch a sense of mourning has come over that all my love and time won’t be dedicated to my first born. He’s just the best little guy and the thought that he might not feel as loved as he did before has me sad.

Oh yes, I cried as due date for #2 got closer. Mine are 18mo apart. And now again, pregnant with #3 I get a little sad thinking about the upcoming change. Of course I’m excited and so happy to grow our family again but it’s bittersweet for my two babes.
I will say, seeing my first two play together now (3 & 2 yrs old) reminds me it was all worth it and they are so blessed to have each other 💗

I'm so glad I read this post...I am 100% on this emotional roller coaster ride. My son is 19 months old and has only spent a max of 2 hours away from me at a time through the day. I'm so scared he's going to feel neglected/get rejection issues because I'm in hospital for 3 days minimum (having a csection), and then bringing another little boy home...the emotions and guilt are going wild. But then at the same time I'm scared my newborn son doesn't feel the same love I've given my first born because I'm so worried about my first born son being scared and upset. The guilt is real.

I never thought we'd have a second so I want to make sure I have one on one time with my son when the baby is napping and sleeping. He's 5 and I want him to know that we love him just as much as the baby. He's an emotional kid so we have to be careful in the beginning but he's excited to be a big brother.

Yes, my son tried to get me to play in his little house with him the other day but I literally cannot bend down or get on the ground and he started crying and then I started crying 😅 
I felt like a horrible mom for being pregnant 
I do plan on having one on one time after the baby is born like taking him on a walk with me or riding in the car to pick up food or something 
I’ve been getting upset thinking about even leaving him when I go into labor 🥺

Feeling this. I still nurse my son for naps and to sleep, he’s 14 months and I am just breaking that he is going to feel neglected. I love this baby inside me, but I am so nervous to come home to my son and have him feel unloved. I know my hormones have me going crazy, but how can I love two babies
