Anyone else taking antidepressants while pregnant?

So, my OB just prescribed me anti-depressants bc I have depression. She put me on a low dose of Zoloft 50 mg. I have to take half a pill. I am just so worried taking it while pregnant. She said it will actually benefit me and the baby and they will monitor the baby closely after it's born. Reading the side effects terrify me though. Is anyone else taking anti depressants while pregnant? What has been your experience like? I just need encouragement because I am scared for my baby ☹

I was on antidepressants when I got pregnant and had been taking it for years. It helped me greatly. Once I found out I was pregnant (at 2 months) i stopped taking it cold turkey. Had I known before hand how terrible it was going to be coming off of it I would have probably stayed on it. Although I am grateful I stopped it because the medication I was on could cause the baby to develop cleft pallet. Theres at least some kind of risks with certain meds I believe taking while pregnant. However I know that there are some that woman have been on them while pregnant and their babies are perfectly healthy: I guess it depends how you are feeling mainly, because we know that stress and depression and sadness can take a toll on mom and baby especially while pregnant. If you are feeling awful without medication then I would say go with your gut feeling and be ok with it as long as your obgyn is. 😊😊😊

I started off my pregnancy on Prozac and was on it for the first three to four months! Was going to continue taking but decided not to (personal preference) I felt like I was fine without it, but if I ever feel like I need it, I would continue taking it!
