Need yalls advice

So my husband and I bring home a little over 4,000 a month. We have a 6 month worth of savings built up. We can afford all our bills plus savings. My question is after all our savings and bills we have about an extra $900 a month not going to anything. My husband desperately needs a truck so with the $900 a month do you think we could afford a truck payment or should we save up for one instead? I understand about you pay more for interest and everything but his isn't safe to drive.
